002 - Basic White #1


Basic White Bread

My first attempt at a bread with yeast. Only raised the dough once, folded into stubby cylinder and left to prove. Accidentally poured water on the dough when putting it in the oven. Might have affected taste. Was a bit impatient, so didn't wait for it to cool/finish cooking. Ate it slightly undercooked but it was fine. Crust was nice and hard. Bread was quite dense, with small air pockets of fairly consistent size - one or two larger pockets towards the ends.
